I’ve taken 2 classes with Karen through the Second City Training Centre and most recently she helped me prepare for an important audition. An audition that fortunately landed me a spot at the institution I want to study with. I can say without a doubt that Karen is by far one of the best coaches I’ve ever had. She’s professional and supportive and works hard to help you discover and make stronger choices. I can’t recommend her enough, so I’ll do exactly that, if you’re looking to learn and grasp some more tools for the figurative belt, take a class with Karen or book some one on one time with her. She’s and absolute pleasure to work with and you’ll learn a lot!
Karen ivany was great. I had worked with her in a second city class and afterwards she offered me private coaching. I really needed some new footage for a demo reel and she was happy to help me out. She taught me some really cool techniques, allowing me to delve deeper into my character development and gave really helpful criticism. It was in a relaxed environment and she really made me feel comfortable working through my pieces with her. I highly recommend her. She’s funny, kind ,and a great acting coach.
Karen helped me prepare for an important audition – and I landed a role! Karen’s awesome energy and ability to push to a deeper level of character nuance is what sets her apart. I will work with her again to prepare for other roles. Her classes are also terrific. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to people newer to acting.
